My story
A Life I Did Not Plan—and a Chapter I Am Grateful to Share
Retirement, remarriage, a move to Alabama, and a serious back injury changed the direction of my life. This is the story of what came before, what changed, and why I created this space for women navigating their own next chapter.

Chapter one
Before Alabama
For many years, my life was shaped by work, responsibility, and learning how to make things run well. My background is in business management, and I became deeply comfortable with the practical tools that keep a business organized: QuickBooks, Excel, Word, systems, schedules, details, and follow-through.
I also built a personal-chef business centered on vegan, gluten-free, and high-protein meals. I never depended on social media to fill orders. The food sold through word of mouth, and often everything was spoken for before I could make more. That season taught me that trust, consistency, and genuinely caring for people can grow a business quietly.
Chapter two
A New Chapter
I retired in January 2022, sold my home, moved to Alabama, and remarried. I expected the transition to bring change, but I did not know how completely my understanding of home, health, family, and purpose would continue to evolve.
Starting again after 60 is not the same as beginning in your twenties. You bring history, habits, wisdom, grief, hope, and a clearer awareness that your time and energy matter. I began asking what I wanted this chapter to feel like—not only what I wanted it to look like.
Chapter three
The Accident
In 2022, I suffered a serious accident that broke my back in three places. My back is now healed, but the experience changed me. Recovery required patience, attention, and a willingness to listen to my body in ways I had not always done before.
I do not share my recovery as a formula for anyone else. Bodies, injuries, medical needs, and circumstances are different. I share it because a life-altering experience can make us question what we assumed, notice what we ignored, and become more intentional about how we care for ourselves.
Chapter four
What Changed
My healing journey led me to pay closer attention to food, water, air, environment, rest, mindset, movement, bodywork, and the daily choices that shape how supported I feel. I became less interested in perfection and more interested in what I could practice consistently.
This site is not built around the idea that one product, protocol, or person has every answer. It is a place to share personal experience, practical tools, thoughtful questions, and the resources that have mattered to me.
Chapter five
My Food Journey
My approach to food has changed over time. I once ate and cooked primarily vegan meals. My personal diet later shifted toward ketogenic and carnivore eating. That change is part of my story, not a universal prescription.
My years as a personal chef still shape how I think: food should be understandable, workable, and appropriate for the person eating it. I enjoy exploring simple meals, specialized diets, high-protein options, ingredients, and the way nourishment can fit real life.
Chapter six
Learning and Training
Along the way, I became a certified Root Cause Protocol practitioner and a whole-life coach. I also trained in Wolfe Non-Surgical Bodywork. These experiences gave me additional frameworks for asking questions and supporting people, while my own recovery kept reminding me to stay humble and personal in the way I speak about healing.
My background also includes small-batch body-product formulation using ingredients such as grass-fed tallow, essential oils, almond oil, vitamin E, and olive oil. I am continuing to learn, refine, and decide which offerings fit the life I want to live now.
Chapter seven
Why I Created This Site
I created this space to be useful. I want a woman who is rebuilding, caregiving, changing the way she eats, exploring wellness, or simply trying to reconnect with herself to find something that makes the next step feel a little clearer.
You will find personal reflections, recipes, free printables, products I care about, lessons from business and caregiving, and honest conversations about life after 60. I will tell you when something is my personal experience, when it is a resource, and when a qualified professional should be part of the conversation.
Chapter eight
What Comes Next
I am building slowly and thoughtfully. Consultations and Alabama food-service inquiries can begin with a simple conversation. Additional guides, workshops, products, and ways to work together may grow from there.
For now, I invite you to begin where you are: read a story, download a resource, make a simple meal, or reach out when a conversation would be helpful.
